LVHRD BR CRWL
It's been a couple of months since I last went to a LVHRD event.
This one is a pub crawl in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
We started with some food and a beer tasting at the Brooklyn Brewery.
As we leave each spot, we're handed a drink ticket for a Dewar's cocktail. On the back of the ticket is a map to the next bar. We also received text messages of the next place. The theme for this event (there's always a theme) was summer whites.
The whole group (probably about 30) were mostly in white.
Good times, good friends, too much walking.
Starting Point: Brooklyn Brewery
Bar stop #1: Royal Oak
Bar stop #2: Larry Lawrence
Bar stop #3: The Bushwick Country Club
Glasses that fits in pockets are awesome!
We smelled this about 2 blocks away, while walking to the Bushwick Country Club

Del Ray Beach, Florida - Hazy, Humid
I'm down in Del Ray Beach, Florida for the week (back Friday night).
We missed the storm / hurricane in both New York AND Florida - lucky (or else it would have been a hell of a plane ride).
The humidity created a nice filter for the point and shoot - hence these dreamy sequence of pictures from our hike to the office:
blue sky, palm trees
calm water
cross the bridge

we're numero uno!
It's bound to happen. We got our first TickerHound bashing.
Check out the article here:
The Marching of the Web 2.0 Lemmings? by Jim Fisher, IdeaStar Inc.
At least we're number one on the list! FTW1!!
"The educators can be either an expert or a crackpot" - yes, so can authors making lists about "web 2.0 lemmings".
IdeaStar should really spend more time bringing their technology up to par and less time bashing others. A quick look at the code behind IdeaStar shows that they use Dreamweaver (as illustrated by the eck... MM_preloadImages) and gasp! TABLES! There's also a bunch of ugly javascript all over the place that's super bad for SEO (search engine optimization). What kind of self respecting web design / development / consulting firm still use tables?! seriously?
Well, like my friend Chris said... "this guy sounds like a shmuck in the other reviews that it actually makes it sound like worth checking out all these sites."
Hey Mr. Jim Fisher, 1997 called and want their Dreamweaver 3.0 HTML back!
One more thing, at least we made it to Mashable.

The pipe that lead no where. Probably for letting out steam.
