Had my upper left wisdom tooth removed today. It wasn't a painful experience as I've others described. I'm lucky, all my wisdom teeth are out and not below the gum.
That's probably due to the fact that I had 4 molars taken out when I got my braces - so there's enough room for the wisdom teeth to pop out.
Anyway, I opted for the novacaine over getting gassed/knocked out.
While we waited for the numbing to happen, the assistant slowly laid out these tools:
Dr. Lee only used the second and third tool: the squiggly icepick looking one and the plyer.
The squiggly icepick was used to wedge into the gum, to loosen the tooth - kind of like a crowbar. I could hear cracking while he did it all around the tooth. When the tooth was loose, he used the plyer to take it out.
Too bad, no fun drugs. I only got scripts for Tylenol #3 (with codine) and mouthwash.

The Dark Knight
It was awesome, even with all the hype!
There's enough said about the movie everywhere else, so I'll just add this:
the ending totally sets up for "The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller

When the Day Met the Night
Three different GAPs on three different days happen to play the same song as I'm walking around.
I'd have to say, it's pretty catchy - in a pop-ish kind of way.
The only line that I remember:
"... in the middle of summer..."
I was randomly going through my iPod today and heard it!
"When the Day Met the Night" by Panic! At The Disco

Gabe's Bachelor Weekend
Highlights from Gabe's bachelor weekend:
Fen Chiew - Chinese liquor bought from Chinatown. Has a hint of molasses and a very very potent burn (53% alcohol).
Beer Pong - pink cups, drunkenness
Lake - almost drowned. thanks for flipping over the canoe Colin.
" Colin: My deepest sincerest apologies for almost drowning you"
Fire Pit - I like to burn things.
Brats - sauteed and carmelized onion, deglazed with new castle, boiled brats till cooked, grilled to crisp
Conclusion: lake side cabins are fun - even though there were no strippers.

4th of July at Kenny's
Once again, Kenny managed to out do himself.
Highlights: ribs, smoked pork belly, soft shell lobsters, corn, kalbee.
I was more than happy when Kenny asked me to bring wings:
a. I can show off my skillz (it's a proven recipe: basil + garlic + dijon + olive oil)
b. I don't have to cook them (wings are a pain to grill perfectly)
